Goal and Strategy Development

CEJP understands the importance of helping you focus your interests and ideas, by developing and articulating your philanthropic goals, giving strategies and funding guidelines.

Some of the questions we address together include:

• What do you want to achieve with your funding?
• How will we measure success?
• What percentage of your portfolio do you want to utilize for seed funding...expanding successful programs... maintaining existing initiatives?
• Do you want to provide programmatic and/or capital support?
• What role will leverage play in your funding? Will your support be in the form of a challenge grant?
• What are your expectations regarding accountability and reporting?

CEJP recognizes that each philanthropist starts the process in a very different place. Many philanthropists engage us at a time when they have decided to dramatically increase their giving and are seeking to identify and more clearly articulate their Jewish charitable vision and goals.

While it only takes a short time to address these issues early on, it saves a great deal of time overall and more importantly, ensures that your funding decisions are aligned with your goals.
